Jim Bailey
President of AHIOS

As president of AHIOS, Bailey will lead the association’s initiatives to strengthen, enhance and raise awareness of the value of the HIM outsourcing industry as it evolves to a more technology-based process, while establishing standards of excellence for the entire industry to ensure quality assurance and compliance with ever-changing, complex regulations. Bailey currently serves as the president of BACTES Imaging Solutions and is general manager of its parent company Sharecare, a leading online health and wellness platform. Bailey has also served as president-elect of AHIOS and continues to be a member of the association’s executive committee.

Mr. Bailey has been recognized for his strategic vision and for creating business solutions that scale. He has more than 20 years of global sales and corporate management experience in cutting edge technology markets. Prior to his position at BACTES, he served as vice president, strategic solutions, at Autodesk, and, prior to that, COO of Alchip.  Bailey graduated Magna Cum Laude from St. Cloud State University, St. Cloud, Minnesota, with a B.S. degree in computer science and a B.A. degree in mathematics.


Stephen Hynes
Treasurer and CEO of MRO and also a past President of AHIOS

As the treasurer for AHIOS, Stephen Hynes strives to lead the association in its mission to strengthenand enhance the health information management (HIM) outsourcing industry while promoting excellencein the handling and dissemination of protected health information. Additionally, Hynes plans to work with other members of the association to educate and prepare healthcare leaders as they operate in a quickly evolving environment that is driven by regulatory and technological changes.

Bringing over 20 years of HIM experience to the association, Hynes is the CEO of MRO, a company that provides disclosure management and HIE solutions to healthcare organizations across the country. He has worked for the company since 2002 and is one its founders.


Chad Tillman
Secretary of AHIOS

As Vice President of Client Services, Chad Tillman is responsible for the operational excellence of ScanSTAT's Operations, including Customer Relations, Quality, Production and Education Services.  He has more than a twenty years of experience in the health information technology industry and has been with ScanSTAT Technologies since it's inception. Prior to joining ScanSTAT, Chad served as Director of Operations at Smart Document Solutions.   Chad proudly serves as Secretary for AHIOS.


Kyle Probst
Legislative Chair

As the legislative chair for AHIOS, Kyle Probst leads the association’s government affairs efforts regarding pending legislation governing the release of health information across fifty states.  Probst is Counsel and Director of Government Relations for CIOX Health, which commands the industry’s broadest provider network and capabilities in release of information, record retrieval, and health information management for the movement of health information.  He has worked for the company since 2012.


Charlie Saponaro
Marketing Chair

“Our goal as an organization is to increase awareness of PHI guardianship and the key role AHIOS companies play is protecting sensitive patient information while continually driving new best practices within the healthcare industry.”

Charlie Saponaro is an experienced entrepreneur with a proven track record of both operating and investing in growing companies. Prior to Medical Record Associates, Mr. Saponaro was key member of the ArchivesOne management team. While at ArchivesOne, Mr. Saponaro was instrumental in growing the business from a regional company to the third largest records management company in the United States before being acquired by Iron Mountain (NYSE: IRM). Before joining ArchivesOne, Mr. Saponaro was a Vice President at Brook Venture Partners, a Boston based venture capital firm focused on expansion stage companies. Prior to Brook, Mr. Saponaro worked for Saturn Capital, a Boston based venture capital and private equity firm focused on early stage technology companies. Before Saturn, he worked for Boston Capital, the largest apartment owner in the United States. Mr. Saponaro holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of Vermont.


Ozzie Munoz
Website Coordinator of AHIOS

Oz Munoz is the Release of Information Vice President for STAT Imaging Solutions. Oz has worked in the area of Release of Information for over sixteen years, with experience managing over 300 ROI accounts. He also has proven experience providing guidance and support to Supervisors as well as Management. Oz is a vital component to the evaluation of Release of Information processes for many Health Information Directors. He has developed a fluid working relationship, understanding the necessities and demands of both his ROI responsibilities and the communities that his clients serve. Oz has also participated as a HIPAA Trainer and educator. Oz has a BA in Business Administration and Marketing and is a member of AHIMA and FHIMA. Oz currently lives in Coral Gables, Florida and prideful serves as the website coordinator for AHIOS


Mariela Twigss
Education Chair

Mariela Twiggs coordinates the AHIOS CRIS (Certified Release of Information Specialist) Test and works with AHIOS company members to keep the test relevant to the ROI industry.  She serves as MRO’s Director of Training and Compliance, through which she ensures that MRO is compliant with HIPAA, state and facility regulations, policies and procedures.  Prior to joining MRO, she was CEO of MTT Enterprises, LLC, a New Orleans based ROI business. Previously, she worked in the ROI industry and as an HIM Director. Twiggs is the past president of AHIOS, LHIMA, GNOHIMA, a fellow of the American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA), recipient of LHIMA’s Distinguished Member & Career Achievement Awards, past treasurer of LHIMA & GNOHIMA and serves on the Advisory Board of Delgado Community College Health Information Technology program. She is also certified in healthcare privacy (CHP).
